It's all in the details

I use to watch my mother sew on our formal dining room table with her Singer sewing machine(pictured). It sewed forward and backward. It didn't do button holes or have a zipper foot. She made all my recital, theater and ice show costumes, not to mention the matching dresses my sisters and I wore at christmas (also pictured). And though I have no formal training, besides a Home Economics class in 7th grade, which really isn't "formal," I now have the same machine and I love to sew. I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I am enjoying making things to show. ~Laura
